About the Authors
Derek White
Worked as a chemist/analyst in the chemical industry for 25 years before entering pastoral ministry in a local church in Surrey.
After being the UK director of the International Christian Embassy, Jerusalem from 1981 to 1985 he went on to help found Christian Friends of Israel in December 1985.
He served as Director of CFI-UK until the end of May 2001. He has been to Israel 50 times in connection with the work of CFI and is a prolific writer on the issues of Israel and the Hebraic roots of Christianity. He is currently involved in ministry among believers in the Lord Jesus in the Middle East.
Lance Lambert
Lance Lambert is one of the most distinguished Bible scholars and speakers in Israel today, and has an itinerant teaching ministry worldwide. Born in 1931, Lance grew up in Richmond, Surrey, and came to know the Lord at twelve years of age. Having discovered his Jewish ancestry, Lance became an Israeli citizen in 1980 and now has his home next to the Old City of Jerusalem. His father and many members of his family died in the Holocaust.
Lance Lambert produces a widely-appreciated audio recording called the Middle East Update (available via subscription from CFI-UK), which gives his unique perspective on current events in the Middle East, in the light of God’s Word. He has written numerous books and is presenter of the DVD video production, Jerusalem, the Covenant City.
Art Carlson
Art Carlson founded Project Kibbutz, which encouraged and enabled young people to support Israel by living and working on the kibbutzim all over the Land of Israel. Art, himself, lived and worked in Israel for many years and realised the value of true intercession from early years.
