We are a ministry with a twin focus.

We seek to:

1. Bless Israel by means of practical and moral support.

2. Serve the Church with teaching and resources about God's love and purposes for Israel and the Hebraic roots of our faith.

Open Gates

Assisting new Russian immigrants.

Project Open Gates serves new Israeli immigrants in their first year. Many arrive at the border of Israel not knowing what lies ahead of them but their determination to build a new life is strong. While immigration into Israel from the former Soviet Union (FSU) has somewhat decreased, immigration is increasing from other parts of the world, such as Argentina, Uruguay, France and Iran.

"And there is hope in thine end, saith the Lord, that the children shall come again to their own border" (Jeremiah 31:17).

Open gates project

Through Project Open Gates, CFI distributes tons of clothing annually. Since its doors first opened in 1991, the Center has helped over 130,000 immigrants start life all over again in their new home, Israel. Our team of dedicated volunteers, unpack and sort boxes of quality garments each day, preparing for those who come daily with such great need. High quality, used clothing for 12,000 new immigrants was distributed in 2002. People coming for their first visit receive a "Blessing Basket" of new household items, along with the clothes of their choice.

Open Gates Project

Those waiting to be served are offered beverages along with loving attention to other physical or emotional needs that they may have. For some of the Jewish people, it is the first time ever that a Christian has treated them with respect and concern. Needy, handicapped people and pensioners are provided food vouchers as a love gift. University students receive vouchers for books. Grieving families are assisted with the cost of a grave marker, and the elderly are assisted with hearing aid purchases. Survivors of terror attacks or the Holocaust are invited to register for follow-up by other CFI outreach ministries.

Giving Them the Word

Encouraging the Jewish people...

Scripture Posters in Hebrew and Russian are always received with great pleasure by immigrants, as they are thought-provoking and a real asset to any home.

Brochures have been produced in Russian and Spanish to explain the ministry of CFI to members of the new immigrant community. Included are some of the Scriptures that support their return to the Land as a fulfillment of God's promises. We hope that these brochures will find their way into many hands via our visitors.

Join us in earnest prayer that the Lord will greatly use His word to touch the hearts of His people.

"For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart." (Hebrews 4:12)
