Prayer Wall
Mobilising prayer around the world for Israel.
The Wall of Prayer project truly represents the heartbeat of the LORD as it mobilizes prayer around the world for Israel. We thank the LORD that it is HE Who has set watchmen on the Wall of Prayerfaithful intercessors representing many different languagesin nearly 100 countries around the world for one purpose only.to ensure that ISRAEL does not lack for voices 24 hours a day lifted up before His Throne of Grace on her behalf. These are those who co-labor with Him the Great Intercessor and who stand in the gap burning the precious and powerful midnight oil of intercession. Serving as the 'eyes and ears of these intercessors in the nations, it is the goal of the Wall of Prayer team members to provide them with the necessary tools that will enable them to pray more targeted, effective and fervent prayersthose prayers which the Word of God ensures us 'avails much.'

How precious are the hands of these who take hold of the Eternal Word as we witness the Holy One of Israel being a Wall of Fire 'round about His Beloved.'
Vision
We believe that what is being built here is something very powerful in the spiritual realm, an invisible Wall of Prayer around this nation, the apple of God's eye (Deuteronomy 32:10). Active intercession on behalf of Israel pulls down strongholds the enemy builds up around the nation and raises up a protective wall against the onslaught of evil.
Now as never before in its history this nation needs the prayers and support of the Body of Messiah in the nations. Indeed, we have a Biblical responsibility to do so. Prevailing prayer activated by a burden of the heart will be effective as we pray for the Peace of Jerusalem and for the people of this land (Psalm 122:6).
The vision of the Wall of Prayer is to have every place here in the land, be it a city, town, kibbutz, moshav, village etc., Jewish, Arab, Druse, Bedouin, Samaritan, covered many times over by believers in the Body of Messiah in the nations, who will lift up their specific places by name before the Throne of Grace and to intercede on behalf of the people.
The ongoing commitment of Wall of Prayer team in seeking to be the eyes and ears of the intercessors, is to travel and do research, acquiring new information and an awareness of specific prayer needs and also to take photographs of as many places as possible for the intercessors. Anything relating to specific 'prayer targets' will be relayed to the intercessors praying for each specific place. One intercessor from Bulgaria writes: "You represent the whole situation to the intercessors so we can pray (the newspapers and the television do not say the truth)."
In the ever-growing list of intercessors, there is always room for more and we would ask the question 'Has God chosen YOU, has He anointed YOU and has He appointed YOU to take up a position in His mighty army of prayer warriors surrounding Israel?
"I have set watchmen on your walls, O Jerusalem; They shall never hold their peace day or night. You who make mention of the LORD, do not keep silent, And give Him no rest till He establishes And till He makes Jerusalem a praise in the earth." (Isaiah 62:6-7)
Divine Link-Up
As we prayerfully assign places to intercessors, we have to trust that the Lord by His Spirit will do a 'divine link up' as there is no way in the natural that we can do this with any great significance. It is therefore always a great encouragement to receive responses such as related below, which show that it is the Lord who is building this Wall of Prayer around Israel and not us - we are but tools in the Hands of the Master Builder...
England: Assigned Qedumim a Jewish community in Samaria: "I want to thank you for allocating to me the town of Qedumim. It was a perfect choice! " (and she goes on to say why).
Germany: Assigned 'En Hod' an artists village on Mount Karmel: "...Because my joy is so big I just want to let you know how the Lord is choosing.. I am painting sometimes and En Hod is a village of painters – what a joy that in my prayer village live artists. The next thing is we live in a little village that has 250 residents. En Hod has 251 residents - isn't that wonderful! So now we have a partner village with the same size in Israel which the Lord put on our heart for prayer. And now the third joy in that leading from the Lord by choosing that place: the village was founded in 1954 and that is my birth year. You can imagine how big my joy was about the so long hoped for prayer assignment. The Lord blesses already beforehand and now even my husband wants to pray for En Hod..."
Germany: Assigned 'Malkishua' which could be described as a 'village' - it is a center for the rehabilitation of drug addicts: "In our village (in Germany), there is a hospital for drug-dependants. I spoke with the chiefs about Malkishua and they would be interested in a friendship, maybe."
Uganda: Assigned "Araba", an Arab town in Lower Galilee: "I am happy to report to you that I received Wall of Prayer instructions to pray for 'Araba' in Israel. I don't know how to explain it but I think it was a divine connection from God! I have been praying for Israel in general but I think the time has come that God wants me to pray for this particular area as if I am praying for my own child. The name Araba is in my own family, my first born is a boy called 'Araba'...it is in our local language. When I saw the name, then I thought this is not a coincidence but a divine connection..."
Answers to Prayer
While our updates and alerts cover a variety of issues that need prayer, at the moment, in light of the numerous terrorist attacks throughout the land, the overwhelming focus of our alerts have been on Israel’s security. We will never know the many ways that lives have been spared as a result of those in far away lands who are unseen in the natural, but who are behind the scenes bending their knees and calling upon the One Who HEARS and Who has promised to ANSWER. Terrorist cells have been uncovered; bomb labs discovered; suicide bombers apprehended; bombs exploded prematurely, killing only the bomber in what is referred to as "work accidents" and other displays of the LORD'S Divine Intervention in exposing the plans of the evil one. The Head of Israeli Intelligence reported that at least 50 terrorist attacks were foiled in just the month of October alone last year, including 33 intended suicide bombings and car bombs! Coupled with this is an amazing account of at least one potential suicide bomber having a "last-minute change of heart" and deciding not to follow through with the attack. We are seeing this happen more and more often as the Spirit of God is exposing the lies of the evil one and bringing forth Light and Truth. Can you imagine the JOY that consumes those intercessors who are praying for each of these locations as they learn that the Holy Spirit had prompted them to pray just when an attack was being planned against their prayer assignment and to know that attack was foiled. All Glory to God!
The following are only a few dramatic examples of the Mighty Hand of God staying the hand of the enemy through the power of PRAYER.
- Two separate ‘mega-attacks’ involving fuel trucks foiled. In October of 2002, a fuel truck containing 15,000 liters of fuel left the depot, but shortly after departure the driver noticed something wrong with his brakes and decided to pull into a service garage in Rishon Letzion to have a check. It was then that the bomb that had been placed beneath the truck apparently the night before exploded. Miraculously no one was seriously injured. Earlier, terrorists had attempted to blow up a giant fuel storage facility located between Tel Aviv and Herzliya. Likewise, in that attack a bomb, planted on the underside of a fuel truck was detonated by remote control as the tank was re-fueling. The facility’s sprinkler system, and the quick actions of the safety officials and drivers kept the blaze under control. Security officials acknowledged that it had been a miracle saying that if they had failed, tens of thousands of people could have been killed. The explosion could have set off a chain reaction, igniting both the petroleum and gas depots. The resulting fireball would have caused total destruction within a 600-meter radius.
- A terrorist infiltrated the community of Moshav Maor (east of Hadera) on the night of January 2, 2003 and attempted to murder a man and his wife. After firing the first shot, miraculously his gun jammed. The husband then began throwing dishes and other household items at the terrorist allowing time for him and his wife to escape. The terrorist was later killed in the house as soldiers responded to the alert. The local Border Guard commander said, "There is no doubt that the terrorist intended to carry out a murder spree in Moshav Maor."
- A petite, 25-year-old Palestinian woman had a last minute change of heart about becoming a suicide bomber. Hamamreh, a fervently religious Muslim was given an explosive belt by the Aksa Martyrs Brigades terrorist organization and trained in Nablus as to how to detonate it two days before the scheduled attack in Jerusalem. Fueling her desire to become a "martyr" were the teachings that preach the need for Jihad to "create a just and equal, non-corrupt and non-criminal society by the spread and unification of Islam." She said doubts began to gnaw at her mind, along with seeds of disillusionment regarding her handlers and their motives, during the 24 hours between the dry run and the intended bombing. "I also began to imagine the people I would be killing, whether they would be women and children, families sitting down at a caf?. I became a bit disillusioned, because I had been told to blow myself up in any event," she said. "This meant to me that what was important for them (her handlers) was to succeed in perpetrating an attack, whether there were casualties or not, and then they would be able to pat themselves on the back. I felt like they were playing a game with the blood of the martyrs." Instead of obeying instructions, she decided to visit the home of an aunt in Tulkarm, pretending that it was a normal visit even though she had basically run away from home. She was arrested at her aunt’s home on the day of the planned attack due to intelligence received.
- A news report stated that terrorists had fired more than 2,000 rockets and shells at Jewish communities in Gush Katif and the Gaza Strip during the more than two years of the current intifada, yet only one soldier was killed and one person seriously injured, at the time of the report, as a result of these rocket attacks. The feeling of "constant miracles" has caused one resident to write "we have become tired of trying to explain what we are experiencing, because it is truly incomprehensible to those who are not experiencing it. Most of us now suffice with a feeling of 'great abundance,' of pure and strong faith, and strong feelings of gratefulness to God that is enabling us to realize so clearly His direct intervention every moment..."
In the month of February 2003 alone it was reported that the IDF and other security apparatus foiled at least 57 attacks through the means of operational activity, arrests and general alertness. The following are a sample of them:
- Two senior members of the Islamic Jihad in Tul Qarem and Shehem who had planned an enormous number of suicide bomb attacks, were arrested.
- Two Hamas terrorists from Beit Ula who were planning a massive bomb attack in Israel were arrested.
- A Hamas terrorist from Bethlehem, who was involved in planning large scale terrorist attackssuch as an attack on synagogues, and a planned attack against Prime Minister Ariel Sharonwas arrested.
- An Islamic Jihad terrorist from Ramallah was arrested while trying to deliver a suitcase bomb that was to be used in a suicide bombing.
- Truly the Strong Arm of the LORD is at work!
"For the effectual, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much." (James 5:16)
