About the Authors
Marvin Wilson
Professor of Biblical and Theological Studies at Gordon College, Wenham, Massachusetts, USA. His Ph.D. is from Brandeis University in the field of Semitic and ancient Near Eastern Studies. In 1971 he joined the Gordon faculty where he currently teaches Old Testament, Hebrew, Jewish history and culture, and modern Judaism. Presently, he also serves on the faculty senate.
Has authored or edited several books and also penned more than 200 articles or reviews in both scholarly works and popular periodicals. Four of his books deal with the relationship between Christianity and Judaism.
He served as an Old Testament translator and editor of the New International Version, currently the best selling Bible in the English speaking world. He also contributed the notes to two Old Testament books in the NIV Study Bible.
A frequent speaker in churches and synagogues, at conferences, and on radio and TV. He is actively involved in building bridges of understanding between Christians and Jews and in educating the Christian world in its Hebraic origins.
Dwight Pryor
(1945-2011) Founder of the Center for Judaic-Christian Studies in Dayton, Ohio. He was also a founding board member of the Jerusalem School of Synoptic Research in Israel. While studying in the Land, he came to realise the critical importance of understanding Christianity's Hebraic origins and dimensions and worked with both Christian and Jewish scholars there researching the backgrounds to the life and teachings of Yeshua Mi Natzeret, (Jesus of Nazareth) the Jewish Messiah.
As one of the most widely acclaimed teachers on the subject, for over 25 years Dwight and his wife Keren travelled world wide with their teaching and preaching ministry, seeking to make available to the Church an ever-growing wealth of study materials.
Their main aim was to equip believers for a fruitful life of participation in the purposes of God by learning how to think biblically. With this in mind they created a way for disciples, serious about understanding the Bible and yearning to get back to the Jewish/Hebraic foundations of their faith, to benefit from the teaching ministry of Dwight on an ongoing basis.
Richard Booker
Has written 30 books and is considered a pioneer and spiritual father in teaching on Israel, Jewish-Christian relations and the biblical Hebraic roots of Christianity. For 20 years he and his wife, Peggy, have led tour groups to Israel where Dr. Booker has been a featured speaker at the Christian celebration of the Feast of Tabernacles in Jerusalem.
John Garr, Dr
Founder and president of Restoration Foundation, an international, trans-denominational, multi-ethnic networking organisation that serves as an educational resource to the entire Christian Church.
An academician with a pastor's heart, Dr. Garr is able to contextualise biblical truths in terms that laypersons can understand. He challenges believers to a biblically sound Christocentric faith that is grounded in the Hebraic heritage of Jesus and the apostles.
