Ask where the good way is

This is what the Lord says:
"Stand at the crossroads and look;
ask for the ancient paths,
ask where the good way is, and walk in it,
and you will find rest for your souls."
Jeremiah 6:16

I read recently in a study that: The Word of God is a well that never runs dry.

As we mature in the faith we can also grow in our understanding of a scripture, seeing it more in the way the Lord sees it, rather than our own view. Our understanding grows - God’s revelation won’t run dry.

Jeremiah spoke of a crossroads. People and nations get to crossroads - strategic decision points. At this point in history, the main Christian churches in the UK have been without leaders and are now assigning people to key roles. They too stand at a crossroads. We need to press on in prayer for believers in the God of Abraham, Jacob and Isaac at these key times - we want God’s choices to be made and God’s blessing on our nation. When nations align with the word of God, they will be a blessing to Israel and will be blessed in return. The opposite then must be the case too. Scripture can guide us in all things. The well will not run dry.

Our website contains valuable, balanced biblical teaching. You might like to learn more with downloads like Biblical References Concerning Israel and Why Christian should be friends of Israel which is a small and simple summary of some very important Bible verses.

  • Pray for God’s choice of leadership in the UK churches and the government.
  • Pray for a godly sorrow for all who have mocked God or undermined God and his word; and pray for our King.
  • Pray that all forces of lies and hatred towards God’s ways, his chosen people and his purpose are defeated.
  • Pray that the weight of Genesis 12:3 will fall upon the churches of the nations - what is the stark reality of that verse for them.
  • Pray for replacement thinking to be completely undermined by God’s power and authority, in our nations, places of government and education. Pray for the Lord to defeat the spirits that are active for the enemy and that their servants are arrested (Isaiah 54).

"I will make you into a great nation, and I will bless you;
I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing.
I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse;
and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you."
Genesis 12:3

Restoration is a word constantly on my heart when I pray for Israel and the Middle East.

  • Ask the Lord to show you how to pray for restoration for all of Israel, which could be in many ways as there are so many deep needs in this nation that has experienced such brutality, grief and trauma.
  • Pray for the protection and provision of the innocent and the hurting in the Middle East generally, among Arabs and Jews in particular. Pray for broken lives to be mended. As believers in God, we know he loves all and wants everyone to come to him and know full restoration.
  • Among the main sites desecrated during the 7th October Massacre were the Kibbutzim - small towns near the borders. As a ministry we are trying to help them in various ways, one of which is by being good friends and praying, but another is by helping with strong new metal doors for the houses affected by the terrorist attacks.
