Helping needy Holocaust survivors with financial aid and Christian love
"This is what the LORD says: `Your wound is incurable, your injury beyond healing. There is no one to plead your cause, no remedy for your sore, no healing for you. But I will restore you to health and heal your wounds,` declares the LORD, `because you are called an outcast, Zion for whom no one cares.`" (Jeremiah 30:12, 13, 17).
Forsake Them Not is a special project helping needy and sick Holocaust survivors with financial aid and with God’s love. The hearts of these precious survivors are still sore from their horrible experiences from living in a camp or ghetto during WWII.
The current situation in Israel brings back these old memories. Daily thousands of survivors are struggling with finances, poor health, loneliness and fear. They feel forsaken in their sunset years. It is very difficult for most of these elderly people.
They are thankful for living in their own country - the place that they longed for over so many years. Their prayers are to be healthy, to live with their children and grandchildren, and that there will be peace in the land of Israel. They hope for a better future.
CFI’s dedicated Forsake Them Not team reaches out with love and compassion to these dear ones who have suffered so much. We aim to expand the team so that we can double the number of visits made each year.
"Comfort, comfort my people, says your God.
Speak tenderly to Jerusalem and proclaim to her that her hard service has been completed,
that her sin has been paid for" (Isaiah 40:1-2.)
