In one of their more useful reports about Israel, the BBC yesterday posted a video containing a sequence of interview clips with four young women who live in Jerusalem.
Two Jewish and two Arab women talk about the difficulties they face as they try to cope with the violent situation in the capital city of Israel.
One says:
"I hate to say this, but everybody just seems suspicious to me, and it’s hard to live in a world where you always have to look over your shoulder to make sure you’re okay …"
Another says:
"I was discriminated against at work, and it’s the first time I have ever felt that. I feel they don’t care about my life, or my safety. But you're in fact just an ordinary person going about your business."
