Most in a survey view Israel as UK ally

An online poll of 2,000 people commissioned by the Britain Israel Communications & Research Centre (BICOM) provides an interesting snapshot of British attitudes towards Israel, with 52% of respondents viewing Israel as a UK ally more than any other country in the Middle East.

Regarding the controversial Boycotts, Divestments and Sanctions campaign, 43 percent of respondents objected to Israel being singled out in this way, whilst only 12 percent did not object to it.

Results of the survey were published today, the same day that Boris Johnson said that he "cannot think of anything more foolish" than to campaign for boycotts, sanctions and divestments against the only democracy in the region.
