Middle East Reality Check

Israel’s Ambassador to the UK, Mark Regev, is due to speak at the Oxford Union this evening on the topic “Middle East Reality Check – The Road to Peace.” The event is only open to members of the Oxford Union, with no guests allowed, but hopefully they will post a video of his speech afterwards.

As the Israeli Prime Minister`s Advisor and International Spokesperson for over eight years, from 2007 until 2015, Mark Regev established himself as one of Israel`s most recognised voices across the English-speaking world. He has gained a reputation for confronting Israel’s diplomatic situations head on.

His predecessor, Daniel Taub, faced a protest outside the Oxford Union when he went to speak there in October 2014, several months after the conflict with Hamas in the Gaza Strip.

So it remains to be seen what sort of reception Mark Regev will be given.
