Mark Lewis suffers from multiple sclerosis and stopped his wheelchair in front of the rally, refusing to move in protest against the flag of terrorist organisation Hezbollah being flown in London and the “inflammatory rhetoric” used by those who addressed the crowd.

Lewis attended the counter-demonstration with a group from the UK branch of the Herut political party. He told the Jewish Chronicle that he delayed the demonstration for “about an hour” before being threatened with arrest and forcibly moved to the side of the road.
