Reuven Rivlin Calls for Unity

In a special message for the Jewish New Year (Rosh Hashanah) Israel’s President, Reuven Rivlin urged Jews around the world to unite on the basis of their common bonds and shared history.

After a year that has seen significant disputes between Jews in Israel and those living in other countries around the world, the President acknowledged that for some of them it can be hard to see what they have in common, and that there are times when they do not agree with each other.

But he urged Jews everywhere to consider their shared belief in a better world, as well as the need to face the challenge of rising anti-Semitism, racism and hatred, around the world.
