Much Joyful Praise During Sukkot

There is plenty of evidence of joyful praise being offered up to the Lord from sincere hearts in Israel this week, during the Sukkot festival in September 2021. Many groups of believers are celebrating enthusiastically and streaming their praise online.

This is quite remarkable when one considers the threats the country faces from terrorist groups and hostile neighbours, along with the common difficulty of grappling with the coronavirus pandemic and all its consequences.

One example of praise is the Thursday 23rd global broadcast in the weekly series run by the Revive Israel ministry, with a long period of praise before a spoken message from Dan Juster.

A second example is a marathon period of praise by Kehilat HaCarmel, the first part of which was streamed on Wednesday 22nd and was eight-and-a-half hours long. They picked up again on Thursday 23rd with another seven-and-a-half hours!

Thursday was also the day that the King of Kings Community Jerusalem chose for their Sukkot Worship Night, with a livestream lasting just over two hours.

And it was Thursday that Shilo Ben Hod and his team chose to premiere a live recording of a special song for Sukkot, titled ‘Resting Place’.

That song was originally written in English by Brian Doerksen. But now the team have translated it into Hebrew so they can call on Yeshua (Jesus) together this Sukkot, to come and take his place in their hearts (and those of any who choose to sing along with them).

“Worthy is the Lamb, who was slain,
to receive power and wealth and wisdom and strength
and honour and glory and praise!”
(Revelation 5:12)
