Israel Prepares for Improved Coexistence

Since signing the Abraham Accords in 2020, Israel and the UAE have been working together to promote understanding between their two people groups and to counter problematic behaviour that stems from religious intolerance.

In October 2021, the foreign ministers of Israel, the UAE and the USA announced the setup of a new working group to help make progress on these aims, and to create ways of promoting peaceful coexistence through direct contact between people from the two Middle Eastern nations.

On Tuesday 19th July, Israeli officials met in Jerusalem to discuss their part in this working group. That meeting was attended by i24 News’ middle east correspondent, Ariel Oseran, who reports upon it here.
