Terrorists Strike on Good Friday

This year’s Easter weekend in Israel was blighted by two significant terrorist attacks - both of which happened on the day we call Good Friday.

The Dee family, who moved to Israel from the UK, went on a family holiday for Passover near the border with Jordan. Palestinian terrorists opened fire on one of their cars, killing 20-year-old Maya, 15-year-old Rena and wounding their mother Lucy, who died three days later.

Then on Friday night a terrorist rammed his car into a group of tourists in Tel Aviv killing 35-year-old Alessandro Palini, a lawyer from Rome, and injuring seven others.

A particularly troubling aspect of these acts of terrorism was the response of other Palestinians, who handed out sweets in the streets of their cities to celebrate the deaths of these four civilians.

There is a great need to pray for a major change of hearts if there is to be any hope of peace in and around Israel.
