Palestinian Education Losing Support

In the wake of the atrocities committed by Hamas in their 7th October attack upon Israel, attention has once again turned to the internationally funded education programme run by the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA).

Problems with the curriculum used by UNRWA have been raised over many years because Palestinian children are taught to hate Jews and to treat it as their duty to free the whole area from what they call ‘Israeli occupation’.

There is fresh concern about the influence this education programme had on the terrorists who committed atrocities against the citizens of southern Israel in October. That concern has now prompted two European nations to cut funding to UNRWA, with Switzerland’s lower house of the Federal Assembly voting to follow Germany’s example.

The central section of this edition of CBN’s Jerusalem Dateline (starting at 6 minutes 40 seconds) goes into some detail on how the textbooks, which are approved by the Palestinian Authority, teach children to hate Jews and revere terrorists.
