A group of relatives of Israeli hostages being held by terrorists in Gaza set off on Wednesday morning from Ben Gurion airport to The Hague in the Netherlands to file complaints at the International Criminal Court about war crimes committed by the leaders of Hamas.
This is a welcome turn of events, as the international courts seem to be used primarily for complaints against Israel rather than the obvious perpetrators of war crimes – the terrorists in organisations like Hamas, Palestinian Islamic Jihad and Hezbollah.
The sister of Yarden Bibas who was taken hostage from Kibbutz Nir Oz on 7th October, with his wife and two young children, called for Hamas to be brought to account for its crimes, saying:
“All of humanity must stand firm in the face of a global terrorist army in which
Hamas is one battalion operating in its service.”
“The human monsters who harmed us and the members of our family
are the successors of Hitler, Eichmann, and Goebbels,
people who have already been brought to account.
“The time has now come to do this again. This is not just our story.
If we don’t stop this, tomorrow it will be story of the entire world.”
The two Bibas children were just 9-months and 4-years-old when they were taken captive along with their parents. They have become prominent among the hostages as symbols of the ruthless behaviour of the Hamas terrorists.
