On Friday the Israel Defence Forces (IDF) released information about three terrorists amongst the dozens that they captured in their raid on the Nasser Hospital in Khan Yunis on Thursday. These three all took part in the October 7th attack on communities in the south of Israel.
One is an ambulance driver for Hamas who confessed to transporting a hostage from the border with Israel into the Gaza Strip. Another simply confessed to taking part in the October 7th attack, while the third is a known member of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine - another terrorist group.
The IDF said they will provide information about more of the terrorists in the coming days. But combined with the discovery of weapons like mortar shells and grenades, even the information released so far is starting to show the extent to which Hamas has used the Gazan hospitals for terrorist activities. The hospitals provide ideal cover for it, given the IDF’s reluctance to enter them.
In addition, the IDF found boxes with medicine intended for Israeli hostages at the Nasser Hospital. The names of some of the hostages were written on the boxes, but they don’t seem to have reached them. If that proves true, it will be yet another case of deception by Hamas.
