Pre-emptive Strike Against Hezbollah

At 4:45 in Israel this morning, the Israel Defence Forces (IDF) launched a pre-emptive strike against many Hezbollah targets in Lebanon, having received intelligence that the terrorist group was about to start a massive attack against northern Israel.

Despite this pre-emptive action, TBN Israel reports that Hezbollah launched 250 rockets at Israel, prompting the cancellation of flights in and out of Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv. Israel’s Home Command blocked many roads and civilians in the north went into bomb shelters. There are reports of some Israelis being injured.

However, Hezbollah have announced that they have completed the first stage of their response to the killing of one of their leaders, and the IDF says the situation is stabilising, with Ben Gurion Airport resuming flights.

The IDF says its pre-emptive strikes were successful in eliminating Hezbollah’s long-range rockets before they were launched.
