Israel Warns Lebanese Civilians

Hezbollah fired more than 100 rockets and drones at northern Israel in several waves of attacks overnight Saturday and into Sunday morning. Israel’s Iron Dome system intercepted many of the rockets, but a number of them struck Kiryat Bialik, near Haifa, and Moreshet, in the Lower Galilee. Three people in Kiryat Bialik suffered shrapnel wounds.

Following those waves of rockets, and in response to intelligence information about further attacks, the Israel Defence Forces (IDF) issued a major operational update early on Monday morning and carried out air strikes against more than 300 Hezbollah targets.

Lebanon’s Health Ministry announced that 100 people had been killed and more than 300 wounded as a result of those attacks.

The IDF update included a major warning for the residents of Lebanese villages in the south of the country, advising civilians living in or next to buildings and areas used by Hezbollah for military purposes, to immediately move out of harm`s way.

This update also included remarkable illustrations of the way Hezbollah uses civilian homes to hide its weapons.
