The Hamas-run Health Ministry in the Gaza Strip says it has launched the second round of a polio vaccination campaign, seeking to administer another dose to children under 10 in the central part of the Strip over the next three days before expanding the campaign north and south.
In September, the first dose of the vaccine was given to around 560,000 children despite the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas, the World Health Organization saying that humanitarian pauses to facilitate the campaign were largely observed.
This video report by the Associated Press shows conditions that seem very different from the picture presented by the main media who are currently reporting a need for more humanitarian aid to enter the Strip.
