Palestinian Terrorists Freed as Millionaires

Palestinian Media Watch has published shocking evidence that the current ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas will lead to 316 new terrorist millionaires walking free, due to salaries they are paid by the Palestinian Authority (PA).

There are 734 terrorists among the Palestinian prisoners due to be released in exchange for 33 Israeli hostages. All of those terrorists have been receiving payments from the PA since they were arrested – totalling a staggering minimum of $141,837,087.

This is the so-called ‘pay-for-slay’ policy of the PA, the importance of which was confirmed by PA President Mahmoud Abbas in a speech to the United Nations in 2019, when he said:

“Even if I had only one penny left, I would give it to the families of the martyrs,
prisoners and wounded. I will not prevent them from getting it.”

Payments are made through three routes, the Palestinian Authority Martyrs Fund, the Prisoners Fund, and the Foundation for the Care of the Families of Martyrs. These are said to ‘compensate and support’ the families of those imprisoned or injured after carrying out violent attacks against Israelis. But the reality is that they incentivise terrorism, something which led the US Congress to pass the Taylor Force Act in 2017, calling on the PA to stop these payments.

Israelis like Tal Hartuv, who miraculously survived an attack by terrorists wielding machetes, are now facing the possibility their attackers will be freed as millionaires. She posted on social media:

“I want to have a conversation with those who have family in Gaza or those
like me who are biting their nails to see if ‘their’ savages will walk free.”

Just hours after Sunday’s release of prisoners, Mahmoud Abbas confirmed his support for terrorists by congratulating Yasser Abu Bakr on his freedom. Abu Bakr was imprisoned for the murder of a baby and two adults in 2002.

Most people in the UK are unaware of these things because mainstream news organisations like the BBC repeatedly fail to provide details about Palestinians’ links to terrorist groups. CAMERA UK highlighted this again on Tuesday, when they analysed reporting by Jon Donnison in which he failed to adequately explain those links.

And the tragedy of it is that people like Itamar Marcus have been warning for years of the danger posed by this PA policy. This short interview was broadcast in 2022.
