For some years now, Western governments who provide funding to support the education of Palestinian children have failed to persuade the Palestinian Authority to remove extremely troubling content from its curriculum.
Successive independent studies have found that Palestinian textbooks teach violence, martyrdom and jihad across all grades and subjects. They include extreme nationalist ideas and Islamist ideologies that extend even into the teaching of mathematics and science.
There is no real chance of peace in the Middle East while such education continues.
